Founder’s Week: CCS Bazaar

The CCS Bazaar was one of the many events during the CCS Founder’s Week. It was held from August 20 to 22 at the UCS Lobby from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During the duration of the event, students would sell their wares, be it food or merchandise. Students, even those from different colleges, would visit and buy from the set-up stalls of the student merchants. I had bought merchandise and food from them.

I initially expected there to only be a merchandise seller during the event since the seller was a fellow committee member from the aesthetics committee. So I was surprised to see a food seller as well. All the products sold at the stall were a huge hit with the students, and some even requested when the sold-out products might start selling again. The sellers were, of course, the people who made the biggest impressions on me since not only were they incredibly talented with their artwork merchandise, they truly were business-minded people. Buying from these fellow students of ours can only mean supporting their work, which is why I and many others bought from them.

This event has truly expanded my views on how inclusive the CCS Founder’s Week is. It caters to every student, even those that want to sell merchandise and food, which is incredibly expansive, especially knowing that the college is full of computer-loving individuals. I want to support more student sellers or merchants in the future, and so I will most definitely be waiting for the next CCS Bazaar. After all, not only does the event benefit the sellers themselves by giving them profit, it also benefits the students buying the products.

Because of this activity, I am going to be waiting for the next CCS bazaar so that I can support my fellow students with their selling endeavors.
