Dahunog: Worship Night

The Dahunog: Worship Night was held on October 18th from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at the Macias Complex. It served as a follow-up event to the worship conference organized by the same group, Influence Worship. The worship concert aimed to reinforce the lessons participants had learned during the conference. Attendees included ticket holders and registered participants, either attending out of personal interest or representing various church groups.

One valuable skill I was able to practice during the worship concert was dancing. The worship leaders were enthusiastic about encouraging participants to join in with their prepared dance moves, and my friend and I naturally followed along. My initial expectation that the event would be similar to the Hibalag Christian Night was quickly dispelled, primarily due to the dancing involved. The worship leaders exhibited remarkable energy in engaging the crowd, sharing their lessons, and praising God. Although the dance moves were simple to follow, matching their enthusiasm was sometimes challenging.

The concert broadened my perspective on faith, community, and my sense of purpose in this world. I learned that faith should not be diminished by the challenges we face in everyday life; instead, these tribulations should strengthen our faith and fortify our resolve to live according to God’s teachings. Because of this experience, I may attend more of their concerts in the future and listen to their original songs through their Facebook page or YouTube channel. I also hope to encourage others to participate in similar activities, as the joy and learning derived from community singing and praise are truly invaluable.

This activity has deepened my understanding of my place in the world and how the struggles we encounter can bring us closer to God and His teachings, guiding us to live according to His ways.
