Dahunog: Worship Conference
The Dahunog Worship Conference was held on October 18th from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the Macias Complex. Everyone who attended the conference was an interested participant, primarily members of church groups who had registered beforehand. The event aimed to teach the word of God and enhance participants’ understanding of the Bible. My friend and I were among the participants, having registered and paid for our tickets. The event was organized by Influence Worship, a well-known worship group that occasionally holds worship conferences and concerts.
Because of the conference, I was able to practice my social skills, as we needed to collaborate while learning, and my active listening skills, as we had to take note of all the lessons being taught. Initially, I expected to hear random ramblings about God’s word, but my expectations changed when I realized that the speakers were not only highly accomplished individuals but also immensely passionate about teaching others and sharing their experiences and struggles with faith. The speakers were insightful, and the most memorable among them was a couple who spoke about their personal journey back to God despite the challenges they faced. Through the speakers and the event itself, I gained valuable insights into overcoming challenges, channeling frustrations to God rather than those around me, and understanding how faith in God can truly work miracles in times of trouble. For me, the hardest part of the activity was absorbing all those insights and lessons and applying them with introspection.
The conference opened my eyes to the profound effects of faith and how learning to adapt to life’s challenges aligns with believing in the destiny God has laid out for each of us. The realizations and insights I gained from this event can be applied to my daily life, where challenges arise at every turn. As for my involvement with this group, I hope to secure a spot in another of their conferences if the opportunity and time arise. I believe everyone should experience a worship conference like this. The benefit of learning from knowledgeable and experienced speakers is unparalleled, and if I have the chance to attend again, I would like to connect with others on a deeper level.
Because of this activity, I now navigate challenges with greater ease and understanding than before. I met passionate individuals whose faith has profoundly shaped their lives and helped them achieve success. Perhaps, in time, I too will be like them.
